Today turned into a very long day. She received her chemo and everything went well. She also needed blood as expected so we had to wait for that to arrive around 2:30 and then it takes about 2 hours for the transfusion.
Unfortunately, her immunity dropped way faster than they expected. She went from an ANC(Absolute Neutrophil Count) of 2300 on Friday to 80 today. Remember, a healthy child is between 3000-4000. Even though the plan was to admit her below 200, our oncologist said knowing we are very careful and are always keeping her clean that he would wait until Friday. If she spikes a fever before Friday then he would admit her. She will also be at the clinic everyday this week so she will be monitored closely.
Praying she doesn't get sick!
